Accessibility & Inclusivity
At The Middle Inn, accessibility and inclusivity are at the heart of our hospitality. We believe that everyone should feel welcome, comfortable, and valued when they step through our doors, and we continually work to remove barriers so that all guests can enjoy the same warm experience.
Our restaurant is fully wheelchair accessible via the beer garden entrance, which provides access via a ramp directly into the dining space. From here, guests can easily move between the restaurant, bar area, and the beer garden itself, ensuring full access to all main areas of the inn. Staff are always on hand to offer assistance where needed, but our aim is to ensure independence and dignity for all visitors.
Beyond physical accessibility, we place equal importance on inclusivity. Our team is trained to provide thoughtful, sensitive service, whether that means adapting menus for dietary requirements, catering for families with young children, or supporting guests with additional needs. We have clear signage throughout, accessible restroom facilities, and a layout designed to allow ease of movement in busier periods.
Inclusivity also shapes how we operate as an employer. We actively recruit from the local community and provide training opportunities that encourage confidence, growth, and career progression for staff of all ages and backgrounds. By fostering a supportive working environment, we reflect our wider ethos of welcoming everyone.
The Middle Inn is more than a pub and restaurant: it is a space where visitors of all abilities and circumstances can feel part of the community. Our commitment to accessibility and inclusivity is ongoing, and we are continually listening to our customers and staff to ensure we provide an environment where everyone feels they truly belong.
